Virtual
teams
...are teams whose members are not all co-located with
each other or with their managers.
Virtual
teams are a necessity in today’s world. A single
virtual team might consist of members who are in many
different locations around the globe. As long as organizations
do business globally, and travel budgets are being cut,
virtual teams are here to stay. Helping them work effectively
together is what we do.
Much
of what works for co-located teams also works for virtual
teams. But there are significant differences and, if
not recognized and addressed, these differences will
cause a virtual team to fail.
